Some days you’re going to hate your body. No matter how confident you were yesterday or how many affirmations you use in the morning, you might wake up tomorrow and wish you looked like someone else. You’ll hate your skinny legs or wide thighs or crooked teeth or dark body hair. You’ll lay your palm against your belly in hopes that it’ll disappear.

Some days you’re going to wake up smiling. Cold wind will sneak in through your window, but you’ll feel physically and emotionally safe and warm under a fuzzy blanket. You’ll get up and make a cup of hot chocolate and re-read your favorite book. Your chest will feel light and the day ahead will seem full of possibilities.

Some days you’re going to cry not for one reason, but for every reason ever. Your job. Your life. Over you ex. Because you ate too much food. Because the state of the world sucks, not right now, but always. Your fears will loop in your head and meanwhile, your best friend is not answering your calls.

Some days you’re going to open your eyes and realize you don’t have the strength to move out of bed. Your soft blanket has suddenly become weighted and your pillow, a lock. Life isn’t something you get to live, but something you have to do just because the…
