The Best Love Exists In All Shapes and Sizes
Love is more than three words.
Love exists in all forms and sizes.
It exists out loud. It’s in the times she whispers that she loves you. In the cheesy lines that secretly warm your heart. In the jokes she tells to make you laugh. In it’s okay, and I’m here, and I’ve got you.
It exists in looks. In the way she looks at you when you wake up and before you go to bed at night. When you drink your cappuccino or read beside her on the couch. With wonder. Disbelief. Amusement. The type of annoyance no one else could make her feel.
It exists in touch. When she passes by you in the bathroom and squeezes your hip. When she hugs you like you’re the only thing keeping her standing. When she kisses you like she needs you to breathe. When she reaches her hand back and trusts that you’ll find it.
It exists in action. When she buys you your own mug to make you feel at home. When she throws her jacket over your shoulders. When she buys your favorite snack because she knows you’re having a rough day. When she kisses your hand when she’s holding it.
It exists in silence. When she sits beside you to work just to feel your arm against hers. When she brushes her teeth while you shower. When she wanders into the same room to feel your presence. When she rubs your back when you cry.
Love exists in what is said and unsaid.
When obvious or in secret.
Loud or quiet.
Love is shapeshifting.
Love is thermal expansion and contraction.
Love is inhale and exhale.
