Your dream requires work, but it doesn’t require sacrificing your mental health. I used to struggle with “hustling” too — to the point when any time I wasn’t working, I felt incredibly guilty.
I wouldn’t allow myself to read fiction, which I love, or watch a movie because if I wasn’t working, I was wasting time.
I couldn’t just write a 1,000-word article, I had to write two, even if I didn’t feel like it.
That mentality only hurt me. Once I got clear on what I needed to do and understood that writing an article a day, for example, is actually enough, I started feeling better.
I’m in the best place I’ve ever been, and it’s not because I work 15 hours a day.
